MEMBER PROFILE: Annabelle Suarez

Annabelle Suarez joined PSGCNJ in April of 2012 and serves on the Opportunity Center committee.  Annabelle accepted a $500 donation on behalf of PSGCNJ from Witherspoon Presbyterian Church. The donation was solicited by PSGCNJ member Joseph Barnes.
Annabelle said: “I joined the Opportunity Center committee because they needed a co-chair. I thought it was a critical part of PSGCNJ to really try to help job seekers land opportunities.” This committee is tasked with the responsibility of reaching out to employers to identify positions that are open and then to match the talent of the members in the PSGCNJ Talent Network with the existing opportunities. Join the Opportunity Center Committee at its Monday 1:30 pm meeting at Wegman’s in Bridgewater.

Resides: Hillsborough, NJ
Interests: I love to read, hike, dance, take Zumba classes, and travel. I recently traveled to South and Central America to visit Ecuador and Belize. I am very involved with my church youth group. When I went to Belize it was a mission trip to build a high school and to also teach in the middle school.
Favorite Music or Artist: Salsa is my favorite music. I enjoy listening to all kinds of music including rock and jazz. Bruce Springsteen is one of my favorite artists.
Favorite Restaurant:       Origin Thai in Somerville: I love the Pad Thai, which is a vegetarian noodle dish. I have been a vegan for over a year and have seen great health benefits.  My lab work is great and I feel much lighter in pounds.
Favorite Quote: “Never say never!” I like that quote because life is always changing and evolving and we need to be flexible.
Fun Fact: I love the thrill of getting on the biggest, fastest and scariest rollercoasters. My husband and daughter always ride with me. I like the old wooden rollercoasters the most because you can hear every sound.
Profession: I am a pharmaceutical sales professional with a proven record of success in sales management. I have a clinical background in nursing and worked as a nurse for four years in the ICU and Emergency department.
Special Skills: My special skill is the ability is to lead and develop direct reports to positions of higher responsibilities that help them grow with the company while delivering exceptional sales results. Additional talents are my ability to listen to customers’ needs and developing solutions to meet those needs.  My core strengths are leadership skills, teamwork and cross-functional team skills.  I am also skilled at establishing relationships with customers as it relates to account management.
Searching For: I am looking for a District Sales Manager opportunity in sales management with a pharmaceutical or biotech company.  My diverse background in people management, sales training, disease management, managed care, account management, and my clinical experience as a nurse make me stand out from other applicants.
