By a PSGCNJ Contributor
This fall, NBA Hall of Famer and motivational speaker Bob Hurley, a mentor to children & a famed basketball coach at Saint Anthony’s High School in Jersey City, will share his life experiences at the Essex County One-Stop Career Service Center.
At press time, no information was available about the title or specific details concerning Hurley’s presentation.
Hurley’s coaching challenges, and fundraising efforts for the high school, were portrayed in a 2007 Team Works Media documentary film entitled “The Street Stops Here,” directed by Kevin Shaw. The film, now available on DVD, captured several touching moments as Hurley’s team remained undefeated that season, winning their 25th state title.
The renowned coach’s presentation, sponsored by the Essex County Jersey Job Club & Veteran Services, will begin 10 a.m., Tuesday, September 24th, in a room on the second floor of the center, located at 50 South Clinton Street, East Orange, New Jersey.
The center has a limited seating capacity. So, the first group of 60 people to arrive will be able to hear the speaker’s presentation. If you cannot the presentation you will be able to attend a mini job fair that same day where the following companies will have tables:
