COMMITTEE SPOTLIGHT: Free Job Search Training Starts August

PSGCNJ’s five day Job Search Boot Camp is a free career development forum designed to bring your job search skills into the 21st Century. Described by participants as “Better than corporate out-placement services,” the five 4-hour workshops begin on Monday, August 20, and run through Friday, August 24. The course is taught by experienced PSGCNJ volunteers and cover topics including:
- Employment Orientation and Self-Assessment
- Communications
- Networking
- Letters, Resumes, and Transferable Skills
- Interviewing
To register:
1) Go to http://www.psgcnj.com/ and register online; you will receive a confirmation email. You are NOT officially enrolled in any session until you receive this e-mail confirmation. Please note: Registration must be received 7 days prior to the start of the session but they due often have last-minute openings.
Or,
2) Attend the Monday general meeting (information at: http://psgcnj.org/meetings.html); complete the workshop sign-up form; and return it to a member of the Training Committee.
These PSG workshops begin each day promptly at 12:30PM.
Class size is limited to 12 participants and is offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
New PSGCNJ members are strongly encouraged to participate in the Job Search Boot Camp. All five modules are required for active PSGCNJ membership eligibility. If you cannot attend every module in your scheduled week, make-ups can be completed during the next scheduled workshop. PSGCNJ membership eligibility will be placed on hold until the completion of all five modules.
