Learn How to Build a Better Interview at PSGCNJ’s October 6 Meeting

By Rita Williams

A job interview is one of the most essential—perhaps the most essential—part of a job search. If you’re looking for a position, for example, you can find openings through multiple channels: networking, job fairs, or postings on the Web. However you find the opening, though, getting the job goes through one channel: an interview.                       October 6 speaker_edited

So it makes sense to learn and practice interview strategies! To learn more, come to PSGCNJ’s general meeting on Monday, October 6, to hear Janelle Razzino talk on “Building a Better Interview.” Janelle is the President of Razzino Associates, Inc., a boutique firm specializing in executive-level and mid-level placements for the Fortune Global 2000 marketplace. She speaks, teaches and consults on the growing role of emerging technology in recruitment strategies, placement, executive search, and career planning, and also addresses motivational techniques that can make a difference between success and missed opportunities.

Ms. Razzino is a regular seminar speaker at Lee Hecht Harrison and Right Management outplacement services, MISNA Network Group, E&Y Alumni Group, and The Financial Executive Network Group throughout chapter locations in the tristate area. She has been featured in Bob Herbert’s New York Times column on “Workers Who Feel. Discarded,” and has appeared on the CBS World News segment “The Underemployed”. Most recently she has been a guest on the talk radio show on “Your Career is Calling” broadcast live on The Bronc, Sunday mornings from Rider University.

So, bring a friend and come to hear her speak at PSGCNJ’s general meeting on Monday, October 6, from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, located at 48 West High Street, Somerville. Be sure to bring business cards, and be prepared to network!

Please refrain from parking in the church parking lot. Metered and unmetered parking is available on West High Street. Unmetered parking is also available on some of the side streets near the church. Please put enough coins in the meter; a parking ticket in Somerville Borough costs $24. Please do not park in the handicapped spaces in the church parking lot or driveway unless you have a wheelchair symbol placard or license plate.

PSGCNJ general meetings are always free and open to the public. If you can’t make it to this meeting, then visit our website http://www.psgcnj.biz for information about upcoming events.
