Nick Corcodilos Speaks on “How to Be the Profitable Hire” Tuesday, September 2

By Arlene O’Reilly

Job SearchJob seekers often feel they cannot beat automated tracking systems (ATS) — that all the cards are stacked in favor of employers. Many job seekers feel lost, confused and frustrated by the entire hiring system.

Nick Corcodilos is firmly convinced job seekers do not have to follow the rules set up by employers to get a job. He believes ATS can be avoided because there are better ways to make connections with employers. Corcodilos will speak on Tuesday morning, September 2, “Stand Out in Today’s Automated Employment System: Be the profitable hire!” at PSGCNJ.

NOTE: the day of the General Session Meeting is changed to Tuesday because of the Labor Day Holiday on Monday. The meeting is from 10:30am – 12:30pm at First United Methodist Church in Somerville.

At Tuesday’s meeting, Corcodilos will discuss the automated obstacles driving job seekers crazy. He will explain how to avoid them by targeting the right employers and then clearly demonstrate how you will improve their business.

Nick’s point of view about how job seekers can work around an employment system he sees as broken often stirs up vigorous discussion and sometimes controversy. Bring your questions for him.

Corcodilos is a successful headhunter who also hosts the website blog AskTheHeadhunter.com, and is a columnist for PBS NewsHour.org and Adobe Systems’ CMO.com. His free weekly e-mail newsletter has tackled real problems from real job hunters since 2002,

He has conducted workshops on his job search philosophy for MBA students at some of the leading schools in the world including Cornell, UCLA, Northwestern, Harvard and University of London.
