Prevent unsolicited calls/charges to your cell phone

This month, telemarketing companies will be able to access all cell phone numbers. That means anyone who has a cell phone will receive sales calls and telemarketing companies will be able to charge you for those calls.

To prevent the charges, and the calls from getting through, call the National Do Not Call Registry at 888-382-1222 from your cell phone. You must make this call from your cell phone for it to work.

Once you go through the process, in 31 days most telemarketers will stop calling your cell phone. If you still get calls after the 31 days, you can www.DoNotCall.gov to file a complaint.
