PSGCNJ has confirmed that at least 70 of its unemployed professionals have gone back to work between January 1, 2013 and June 30, 2013. During 2012, the organization helped 59 members re-enter the workforce.
“We are putting middle-aged, long-term unemployed professionals back into the workforce because our programs work,” said PSGCNJ Executive Director Kenneth Hitchner. “Our programs work because our members believe they can turn a bout of unemployment into an experience that can make them more valuable in the workforce. When they work together and help others to advance our corporation, they help themselves by regaining their structure, purpose and confidence. And employers are taking note.”
