Advanced Interview
Due to the COVID-19 crisis, all meetings, classes, and interactive workshops are delivered virtually. Face-to-face meetings, classes, and interactive workshops will resume when PSGCNJ returns to the church.
Overview
This workshop helps job seekers develop effective interviewing skills by learning how to evaluate questions in the interview, slot the question type(s), realize & avoid the inherent traps of questions, and use the best answer to showcase their skills and be on point. As part of this workshop, the instructor will review submitted answers to common interview questions and review with the class. Topics discussed are:
- Question Types
- How to use C.A.R. stories for maximum effect and in what format
- How to answer Liability questions (items you are not strong in)
- Why interview preparation is critical to the interview process
- Practicing your interview skills

- Pre-requisite: Professional Service Group of Central New Jersey membership is required.
- Course Materials: Course materials are distributed electronically after confirmation of registration.
- Pre-Work: Prior to the course start date, you will be asked to do the following for class preparation:

- Pick 10 questions that you would have a problem with in an interview, if you wish to add your own, feel free to do so
- Write your answer to the “problem questions” and include the original question & number, for all of the 10 picked questions
- Send the answers and questions in a word document to the instructor by email no later than date and email address provided
